Printing

Giclée Fine Art Printing Top

Be assured your Giclée prints are archival. We use the Epson Ultra Chrome pigmented inking system. The paper the image is printed on is Arches Infinity 230gsm or you may choose our Arches Cold Press 356gsm for a slight upgrade in cost.

The Arches paper is Mould made in France from 100% cotton. This paper is a cotton fabric archival paper with a neutral PH with three different surfaces. When the prints are framed under glass, displayed under normal lighting conditions, and protected from ultraviolet light, they will last for 100 years without noticeable fading.

This information has been verified by Wilheim Imaging Research, a leading independent testing lab for the longevity of color printing materials. (www.wilhelm-research.com)

In addition to our Arches, we use Somerset papers and fine art canvas. For the discerning photo artist we use Kodak Rapid Dry papers, which carry a 35-year Kodak warranty. This polyester photo media has a very special ‘wet look’ that is very similar to Cibachrome.

Pricing for Giclée Prints: Top

We will match or beat any competitive bid you receive from another fine art printer using the same specifications and media as we do. Our selections of media are Arches 230gsm CP, Arches 356gsm CP, Somerset Velvet 356gsm, and fine art canvas. We are a custom Giclée printing service that offers you personal attention in creating your images. You will work one on one with Denny Welker.

We will archive the final printer file for future reprints. This will insure you of the highest degree of repeat printing quality.

Fine art printing is an art in itself. Please contact us with your special requirements for your art projects. We will answer all your questions, and work with you to fulfill your needs.

Available Printing Categories

Customers providing their image on disk: Top

If you provide your image on disk we can go directly to print on the choice of your media. Although not required, we suggest a proof before the final image is printed. Proofs are 9" x 12" on your choice of media at $25.

PRICE EXAMPLE: A finished image size of 18" x 24" printed on Arches 230gsm with a 1.25" border around the image is $57 per print or on canvas it is $69.

» GROUP 1:
Setup Fee $185 (using 120# cottonrag paper, or canvas $185) Top

If your originals are pastel, watercolor, pencil, or photography; this Group 1 applies to your medium.

Your image will be captured, or your transparency scanned. Your transparency should include color bars and grey scales. A 9" x 12" artist proof will be provided. Group 1 and Group 2 include additional computer time and color correction built into their category.

If additional localized color corrections beyond the artist's proof provided is requested, there will be a $45 charge per artist's proof. This allows for 15 minutes of computer time per correction and the new proof. Also included will be a CD with the printer proprietary file for your safe keeping. You will need to be return the CD (we no longer store files) to us for reprint orders along with the final artist's proof. This insures the accuracy of your reprints.

NOTE: The image capture in these categories is for paintings up to 30" x 40". Oversize paintings will be $25 additional due to extra lighting considerations. If you bring in your own digital file, you may deduct $25 from the Group 1 or Group 2 price.

NOTE: The optimum printing results for your image may not be achieved if you a smaller base ?lm such as a 35mm slide rather than a 4"x5" transparency.

Available: Upon your request we will provide you with the initial image capture (before corrections) placed on CD for web, brochure, or personal use. Cost for this service is $35.

» GROUP 2:
Setup Fee $210 (using 120# cotton rag paper, on canvas $225) Top

If your originals are mixed media, oil, acrylic, or collage this Group 2 applies to your medium.

Pre-marketing Prints:

(For any category above, a one-time circumstance). This is the only exception to the 2-page minimum order. First order only can be just one or as many as two prints and the price of these one or two prints is based upon final image size. EXAMPLE: Your final image size is 18"x24" and to be printed on our Arches CP 230gsm paper. The price for the first or first and second prints is $63 each. If on canvas, each print will be $78 each.

Suggested Option:
We recommend a full size printer's proof for your review. Sometimes looking at a smaller print you may not receive the total visual effect of the image in print size. The printer's proof price is based upon the final size. For example 18" x 24" = 3 sq. ft. cost on the Infinity 120# is $57 or $69 on canvas.

NOTE: Please request a quote for the print size you desire. 18" x 24" is used as an example. Now that you have your image capture and your artist's proof, you are ready to order Giclée prints. This printing method allows you to order in small quantities and re-order as you need them.

Special discounts will be given if you print your full edition or at least larger than minimum quantities. Contact us to discuss your options and pricing!

Print orders: (Minimum order information, see examples below)

NOTE: A minimum order of 2 pages is required. A page on watercolor paper is 36"x48" on roll or cut stock 34" x 46" and on canvas it is 36" x 48". Images requiring larger media (image size example: 42"x60") are bid per job requirement. A page may hold as many as 9 images using a 9" x 12" as an example. A two page order would give you 18 images. If your image is 20" x 30" you would receive two images per page or a total of 4 prints.

Payment is due at the time of the order. You will be given a copy of your order, so please review it. We will be happy to answer any questions. We accept MC/VISA and Amex cards. Shipping and packaging is added to the final invoice. We can ship UPS, Federal Express or US Mail.

Photo Prints Top

The following information contains prices for photography prints. Your prints will be produced on Kodak large format photo paper with archival quality. For the look of Cibachrome we suggest using a “polyester" material. This material is an additional 100% using the chart below as a pricing reference.

Your images can be printed from your digital files with NO additional setup or scan charge! We can also scan your 35 mm slides or negatives, medium or large format film, or original prints. Please add $8 per image for scanning. See our digital services for additional prices on scanning.

Second prints from the same file are priced at less 10%. If 3-5 prints are ordered at the same time a 15% discount will apply. Prints of your photographs are also available on Arches Water Color papers or Art Canvas. See our Giclée Price list for information.

These prices are scan to print. Color testing is extra. When scanned from your original: 35mm, medium or large format, negative, color or B&W; add $8 per scan.

The following prices are for prints produced on Kodak large format photo paper with archive quality and printed from your digital files with NO additional setup or scan charge!

NOTE: For the polyester HIGH GLOSS (Cibachrome type look) add 2X the price listed in chart below. Example 8"x10" is listed at $13.20 w/ HIGH GLOSS material the price is $26.40
